Board Certified Oral Surgeon
M. Caleb English, DMD, FACS
Dr. English, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Dr. English completed his undergraduate degree at the United States Air Force Academy, graduating in the top 3% of his class as a Distinguished Graduate, focusing on chemistry and materials science with a minor in Spanish. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry, graduating in the top of his class. Dr. English then completed his oral and maxillofacial surgical residency at the San Antonio Military Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center serving the city of San Antonio and wounded service members and dependents. During residency, he rotated through multiple hospitals and received broad training in oral/maxillofacial surgery including anesthesia, facial trauma surgery, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, and temporomandibular joint surgery. On his initial assignment after residency, he was appointed at USAF Hospital Langley as the chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery. A few years later, he was appointed to serve on the surgical teaching faculty of the oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. After three years in Bethesda, he moved back to Langley Air Force Base in 2022 to resume his work there. Dr. English is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and has recently been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In 2021, he was chosen to be a Board Examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, tasked with ensuring the specialty continually holds itself to the highest standard.
